First Law

What is the First Law?

The first law of thermodynamics states that the amount of energy remains the same in a system. Therefore, no energy is created or destroyed, it only changes forms.

Fun Little Example:

A lego set comes with 100 lego pieces. You can divide up the legos in any amount and build structures using how many legos you chose, but in the end you will still remain with the same 100 lego pieces even if they are arranged differently.

As you go to bed think about this

When turning on a light it might seem as energy (in the form of light) is created, however, the energy is just transferred from a power source as electricity.
